I'm changing my little corner of the world from a lawn monoculture into a human and wildlife food forest. I stand in solidarity with all small and disempowered causes. On unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

Cute little stealthy ringtail possum. What mischief is it getting up to under the cover of darkness?

This pair is always together. They practically live in the garden, eating all the apples, with the occasional cheeky poop on unsuspecting passers-by. Lucky they're so cute.

My favourite birds despite their swooping reputation. They sing so beautifully and are fiercely protective of their babies.

It's amazing how plants react to rain as opposed to just being watered.

Yellow tailed black cockatoos nest in large hollows high in old growth native trees (~ greater than 200 years old). They are vulnerable to habitat loss and climate change. This one was seen in suburbia after the dreadful 2019 Australian bushfires.
