I wrote this back when people were vaguely entertaining the idea, and I still stick by it.

I've generally used this (Ralph Fiennes talking about his experience playing Amon Göth, an absolute monster of a person) as my go to for how it feels being in that kind of space, psychologically. It's a very ugly experience, and not at all a trifling matter.

These were all consecutive paragraphs in the middle of one of the most disgustingly arrogant screeds I've ever read in my life. The God complex it takes to write something like this about another human being is an insult to life itself.

The very first game I can remember playing, Donkey Kong for the Game & Watch (first game to use a d-pad, apparently)
