The dart is a slow projectile and it doesn't cost little ammo - so what's the catch? It'll stick onto the enemies and deal damage until it snaps! There's even a special move variant where Cataegis throws three of them at once.

For a couple times now in #Nightstalkers, I'm mostly done with an enemy and it's even implemented - but then if I feel like it could be more gross, as if fit on Splatterhouse, I redo until I feel it works. lol

Many updates to #Nightstalkers this past month - but right now, pleased with how well this nasty fellow came out. Also shown is the Pause menu and some of the skills- even subweapons have their moveset. AND voice acting - more on that at a later post!

I need to crosscheck something with my (only) commercial release's coding, and then I found out (since I didn't remember at all) that the game's hidden boss room was... literally placed under the 1st level!

Needing a ceiling enemy, I first created the 2 sprites on Row #1. However, it came out a little too clean, and I wanted a Splatterhouse touch. I added the heads from #2. The veins were added to match SH's flavor more - and its' pincers were enlarged.

...I think I got something mixed up there, but I was also taught "the order of the factors does not alter the product", so if it works for math, it definitely should work for art!

Converti "na marra", então aconteceu coisas como cores borrando ao redor dos pixels. Mas acho que dá pra você tirar uma ideia das alterações. Eu retoquei só as partes que você mencionou (mão/botas) e um pouco no rosto por curiosidade. Todo o resto está igual.

I used to wing the design for my pause menus, brute forcing it without thinking much about it. It's surprising how better it flowed by trying to mark down what goes where, then designing from here.

I was five or so, but then this fucker showed up and laughed.
Low end videogames "weren't meant" to have voice samples at the time. The rules were broken.
Rolling Thunder's difficulty is pretty brutal to begin with, but this being the game over screen meant I didn't want to pick up the cart often.
