Visibility is back in! 👀 Discovered tiles are now driven from the game server and synced to players, entities outside the visibility are not shown and discovered tiles that are outside of the visibility is tinted darker.

Got the idea of making an App-like game where you collect heroes and run them through random dungeons with others. Loot from dungeons can be traded. Turn based play-style, a bit like DnD in your pocket. I might want to explore this further, seems fun. Made a quick mockup for #screenshotsaturday

Went down a rabbit hole recently updating a UI menu. It was a bit cumbersome so I thought "What if my UI was declarative instead of imperative?". Fast forward, this is what the API-surface now looks like for making UI's for my game. Inspired by react and jetpack compose but I wanted it to be my own.

Been some time since last update on the kingdom builder I’m doing #gamedev on, but here are some small updates.

🔬Prototyping land unlock as a part of the game loop.
🃏Testing out heroes summoned from collectable scrolls.
🏗️ Working on a second attempt at making and ECS for the housing logic

Current progress on ECS experimentation in #kingdomarchitect is that tiles are drawn. Building components are picked up by the render system and drawn. UI is shown, but does not handle input properly yet. I think this will help massively with multiplayer and persistence tho.

Been working a bit on prototyping how my tiny (starting to become small now rather than tiny) typescript ECS would fit into the game, it’s nothing screenshot worthy so here is a gif showing Henry the attack training dummy instead.
