A fairer tax system means stronger rights, better services and real progress for people everywhere.

Governments must protect and strengthen public services across these global processes. Our future must be public.

Strong, publicly financed and accountable systems are essential to human rights and to resilient, inclusive and sustainable societies. Education, health, care, energy, water... when they’re public, everyone thrives.

Without equality, there is no true democracy. Without resources, there are no rights.

By exempting income tax for those earning up to 5,000 reais and introducing a minimum tax on large fortunes, Brazil shows that fiscal policy can serve people and rights, not privilege. ⚖️
