1945 the average home costed $4,600. Equivalent to 75k today. Rent was $50, adjusted for inflation equivalent to $800, and electric was $3-5 equivalent to $50-80 today. We are being robbed way beyond the cost of inflation.

I've literally been saying this for years. Slower doesn't mean safer, just makes you less able to get out of the way when it matters.
