The beach at Deer Midge Lake is closed for the rest of the summer following a blue-green algae bloom and reduced water levels. The pond in Giddygrouse remains unaffected

The unseasonable heat wave is forecasted to continue into Tuesday. The ice arena at the Giddygrouse & District Sports Complex may be used as a cooling centre 24/7 until further notice.
