Spotify's business model seems to have shifted from freemium to a music supermarket. Brands (artists) must now fight for visibility on the supermarket shelves (playlists), while the store owner competes with them through private-label products (knock-off songs).

During my PhD, I had to use Stata for assignments and hated it wholeheartedly. When I started my dissertation, I switched to Python and taught myself (mostly). Guess what I’m back to using for a paper? Damn Stata.
