12/21 - Dr Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

I mean, this is a Christmas classic for a reason, and it was a very enjoyable watch. It'll be interesting to see how later versions of the Grinch compare to the original animated film, who knows what'll happen.

12/20 - Die Hard

Watching this for the first time ever, yeah this is one of the quintessential action movies. I'm just a sucker for the banter that happens in this movie, and I love how the injuries are highlighted so much in this movie. He should've put those grippers away.

12/19 - Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult

Weakest of these movies by far, to the point I really dont have any feelings on it. As much as I think Frank Drebin is a fun character, the film surrounding him is not on the same level as he is.

12/18 - Pokemon Shield

It's funny coming back to these games and seeing just how overhated they were back when they released. SwSh isn't amazing, its story especially is pretty bad, but these games are pretty fun. And the DLC rocks too, even if I didn't play it here.

12/18 - The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear

I think I prefer and found more humor with the original Naked Gun, and even this year's reboot, but this was still a fun movie. It's hard to make a movie I dislike with a character like Frank Drebin as the lead role.

12/17 - Raiders of the Lost Ark

I get it now. Indiana Jones is a series I've never watched, and it's always magical when a movie's identity is already figured out in its first entry. I loved the adventure to find the Ark, Indiana himself is also such a fun character to follow.

12/16 - Mind Game

Visually, it's stunning, the opening and ending sequences are breathtaking. But I can't bring myself to like this movie because of how it portrays its lead women. There's a certain montage halfway through the film that just felt awful to watch because of it.

12/15 - The Muppet Christmas Carol

Christmas movies don't really work for me, but I'll admit this one really did. I think the answer for it is just because of the Muppets. If the Muppets weren't here, I probably would not have liked this movie as much as I did.

12/14 - Polar Express

I had to do something during the middle of the movie that was more interesting than the movie itself. I think this movie’s whimsy peaks at the Hot Chocolate scene, and goes back to being just a cute but not standout Christmas movie once it’s done.

12/13 - Home Alone

Watching this movie for the first time, I thought more time would be spent on Kevin defending the house from the Wet Bandits. The movie is still a really fun watch though, and the subplot with the old man and his son was a genuine and lovely surprise.

12/12 - Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc

This movie is so much better than the original anime, and I'm so glad I was given the chance to watch this movie. The animation is beautiful, the music is transcendent. This movie really did reignite a love for Chainsaw Man in me.

12/12 - Wake Up Dead Man

I'm just a sucker for Benoit Blanc, I need to see him in more situations regardless of how reasonable it is. I think I prefer Glass Onion overall, but the mystery in this film is exquisite, and I like how this movie portrays modern day Christianity.

12/12 - Look Back

I love art, and I will keep making art until the day I die.

12/11 - Anodyne

The story didn't entirely resonate with me, but I thought this game was neat. It's atmosphere is really good, especially in areas where you're all alone. The dungeons, while simple, were also pretty clever with what little you could do in the game.

12/11 - Airplane!

It's been a hot minute since I've last seen this movie, and I'm glad to say it still puts a dumb smile on my face. Something about the sense of humor in this movie just works on me, especially since so few comedies tend to get a positive reaction from me.

12/11 - Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

A noticeable improvement on SMTV, but it still doesn't reach the heights that I had with SMTIV and Soul Hackers. The story is so much better, especially with Yoko and the Qadistu, though I wish it diverged from the original even more.

12/10 - MaXXXine

It started out with so much potential, and the overarching mystery felt so interesting. And then the third act begins, it's revealed who The Night Stalker is, and it just loses any traction or investment I would've given this movie.

12/9 - Pearl

There's something that resonates with me when it comes to this movie. That idea of being so desperate to get out, you'd do anything. I wouldn't go to the same extremes that Pearl does, of course. But I understand the exact situation the led her down this path.

12/8 - The King of Comedy

A deeply uncomfortable character study, and I mean that in the best way possible. The way it shows off this man deluded by his dreams of grandeur is spectacular, and for as uncomfortable as this movie is, Rupert's incompetence makes it funny too.
December 8, 2025 at 8:22 PM
12/8 - Paradise Killer

I've grown to realize I just love Murder Mysteries, and this game is a spectacular one. I loved learning about the world and the Syndicate alongside learning about the actual case itself, with every mystery all weaving together. That ending too...
December 8, 2025 at 5:44 PM
12/7 - The Little Mermaid

I don't really know, I just thought the movie was pretty good. Disney movies don't really appeal to me, but I just really liked the animation, Ursula, and the music. Story though? It's definitely kind of lackluster.

12/6 - Flesh, Blood, & Concrete

I loved this game aesthetically, and the story was really promising, but it didn't have enough time for its ideas, and the ending felt abrupt. I also wish most of the that you collect in the game had any sort of use, or just more flavor text.

12/6 - 12 Angry Men

This is just a perfect movie. The way these men deconstruct themselves, and their biases over the case as more and more evidence gets doubtful. As much as I hate him as a character, Juror 3 is such a well written character the brings the whole film together.

12/6 - The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

I really dont have the words to describe this movie, I just think it's beautiful. I often think about how I wish I could turn back time, and I think this movie really uses that idea. I just fell in love with this movie while watching it.
December 6, 2025 at 9:47 PM
12/6 - Outer Wilds

I really respect what this game is going for, and the opening hours were genuinely wonderful. But as the game kept going and resetting over and over, I realized it didn't mesh with me. It's a game that wants patience, but structured to where I can't be.
