Yeah I heard about that. Although linking exp to only gold doesn't feel great to me either. That feels like you'd incentivize the party to become even bigger kleptos

I think EXP can work, but it should be awarded for things besides just combat. Plenty of games give EXP for things like just completing quests, finding secrets and new locations or other small things. Having it only tied to killing people feels a bit weird.
