Had my first student stop coming to class because they’re afraid of ICE raiding our campus. Thankfully, my university and my dean are supportive of our students and always put them first, especially URMs, so we are trying to find ways to accommodate WFH.
ButI am heartbroken. And I am pissed.

Emotion affects both maintenance and processing in working memory, with negative stimuli impairing recall and increasing processing times. Results support models suggesting an attentional trade-off between these components. @giammacias
