I want you to understand what it is to live in Chicago. Every day my phone buzzes. It is a neighborhood group: four people were kidnapped at the corner drugstore. Went to a friend’s house for hot pot, and I’m convinced this is the Millennial fondue.

The dark spotted one is a Nepenthes gothica, and the red one is a Nepenthes falcon (local breeder cultivar).
