And we just saw The Thing 1982 last night! This is by far our dad's favorite scary movie (he doesn't like horror) and it was amazing. Every single character did what should be done in such a situation. The twists were insane, THE EFFECTS HOLY SHIT! A *perfect* scary movie. Thoughts: Iconic / 10/10

Was super interested to see what made the Exorcism of Emily Rose 2005, Skeet Ulrich's (Billy from Scream 1996) favorite scary movie. It was dark, twisted, and mysterious. It sticks out in your mind after you watch it. Great story. Great cast. Thoughts: twisted / good

This was the movie I'd been waiting for since we started this journey. Stephen King's It 2017. WE LOVED IT! The huge cast of main characters added a humor we weren't expecting. It is funny! When we weren't shouting and terrified, we were laughing! Final thoughts: Bitchin / Love!!

Now for the movie we watched on Halloween! We wanted something scary, something iconic, we wanted to be terrified! We decided on 2002's The Ring, and it did not dissapoint! It was slower than we thought, but really good. The mystery element was so compelling! Thoughts: Great / Crazy!!

We have another classic, Carrie 1976. Oh my god. Oh my god! Firstly was very suprised by the strong religious themes but wow was this movie amazing! Also John Travolta?!? Floored. What an asshole, too lol. Great movie! Impressions: Wild / Oof

We then moved onto the classic Poltergeist 1982. What a great film! It gave me major Beetlejuice movie vibes! It did run a little long, and having two huge climax movie endings did seem kind of repetative, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thoughts: wacky! / good :)

To cleans our pallets, I recommended we watch Happy Death Day 2017 bc it looked like a good time, and I was right! Funny, scary, a little romantic; it was a great refresher. Our impressions: Fun! / Enjoyable :D

Okay! Finally back! First up, as promised, we watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974. Um no. Not our movie. Bad. Uncomfortable. I guess it did it's job??? But not enjoyable at all. In a word from each of us: Nope / Gross

Nosferatu the Vampyre 1979, we wanted to give Nosferatu another chance and figured a fifty year leap in human history might help. And it did, but not by much. We gave up 37 minutes in :/ cool poster though

Nosferatu 1922 the only silent film on our list. We gave up 16 minutes in... sorry!

Sleepaway Camp 1983, back to back camp stories. WE LOVED IT!! A rare gem where the killer only punished the wicked. AWESOME twist at the end! First movie on this list to give me full body chills! Also Ricky MADE this film! Wonderful character, great fun. In a word: Awesome / Crazy

Friday the 13th! Our first scary camp movie. It was disappointing :/ Sorry. Kevin Bacon was a pleasant surprise. Watching Scream first spoiled the twist at the end for us, but even that wouldn't have saved the film. It was mostly slow with only two good scares in the whole thing. Sum: boring / eh

Another Wes Craven (my personal favorite) Scream 1996. Amazing, wonderful, fantastic film. Really the film that started all this, including my love of scary movies. The twist is GENIUS, the story is rivetting, and the entire main cast is amazing! I love this movie!! To sum it up: Skeet & Matt <3

Wes Craven's masterpiece Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) Great, great, great film. Freddie was scary, the story was great, Johnny Depp was hot and NANCY IS THE BEST FINAL GIRL! She set traps, made plans, fought back! So good!! To sum up our expierience: Queen behavior / Spooky

Yet another Jamie Lee Curtis classic, John Carpenter's Halloween (1987). Coming off of Prom Night, made two years *after* this movie--we had low expectations. But omg this is a classic for a reason! Meyers was terrifying! Great music! We loved it!! The word from each of us is: FANASTIC! /Scary

Next we have Prom Night (1980) and to be perfectly honest, we didn't really enjoy it. :/ It moved too slowly, and the threat wasn't very menacing. The best scene by far is the dicso dance off. The twist at the end was good though. I was surprised. One word to describe it would be: boring / meh

Starting with Abigail 2024, this movie I had already seen a few times, but was my sisters first watch through. It was a great time, as it always is, campy, and extremely entertaining! The one word we each would use to describe our watch expeirience is: Fun / Awesome
