The Cuypers Library is the largest and oldest art historical library in the Netherlands. In retrospect I wish I had shot it in a vertical orientation but I’m not sure I would have l got it all in with an #iPhone 10. Exposing for a windows made for a moody scene. 🇳🇱

Lazily sitting in a coffee shop in Amsterdam, I was fascinated by the shapes and lines in this scene. Taking the time to adjust the exposure for the outside allowed me to capture this moment when a women poked her head through the door for just a second.

Exploring around the rocks at Kotau Point, Te Henga. This is actually a couple of images blended together because the water rushes in after it hits the rocks in the background.

I really must get back to chasing waterfalls. This one is is in Broken Hills, Coromandel. There is a great DoC campground there alongside the river. Lots of things to explore.

Searches for New Zealand property on One Roof by U.S based users grew 180% the days after the U.S election. It’s not a bad place to be a Digital Nomad.

Home made collar to stop him licking an irritated foot. It didn’t work very well but he looked like a beautiful flower 🐶🇳🇿

During Covid when we were only allowed to walk around the neighborhood, I took this photo in the local golf course. It’s actually a few photos blended together using the technique in the round, made popular by Pep Ventosa.

We went all in in 1996 with a Kodak DCS460. A 6 megapixel sensor and a SCSI connector that was less than practical. We had to shoot on digital and 120 film for some clients until they were comfortable with the output.

I made my dog a necklace thing to stop him licking his balls. You might consider that as it you won’t get it stuck in doorways and you’ll look like a flower!

Wow what an incredible night of Aurora across the world. To have this amount of activity in Auckland means it must have been completely nuts further south! 🇳🇿📷 #aurora

The little Song Thrush fledging is not so little anymore. It hides in the shrubs at the base of tree it was hatched in and waits for its next meal.

The nestlings left the nest so I guess they’re fledglings now. Today it looks like they’re learning to catch worms. That’s one hungry looking bird. I have been struck by the vulnerability. The adult bird will retreat to safe ground if I get too close. The fledgling is completely exposed. 🐥🪱

The nestlings are getting so big that they hardly fit in the nest. 🐥

Came across this bird while doing some yard work earlier. It’s about 5ft off the ground wedged in a fork in the tree. I’ll have to work around it all spring. Definitely getting the side eye. 🇳🇿📷🪺
