Doesn't quite work for me, but still watchable even if it's just for the unique presentation alone.

Naoko Yamada made me watch a Christian rock-themed movie and you know what, I love her for that.

I'm content with not fully understanding it, if that means I'd be constantly thinking about it from now on.

For a literal compilation movie of extended and deleted scenes, it's surprisingly quite emotionally affecting.

Kindred spirits of movies by the sheer virtue of sharing the same sense of compassion.

I've never felt this way since The End of Evangelion, which makes me tremble at the thought of what kind of horrors are waiting for me in The Return.

Some weird story choices in Part II held this one back from reaching its true potentials, but it still packs some emotional moments and satisfying payoffs. Call me biased, but it might as well be the Blue Lions' ultimate power fantasy and I enjoyed the heck out of it, lol.

A very wholesome movie that knows what it wants and needs to be with a simple episodic story and runtime that's only over an hour long, so it never drags one bit. Some might think it's a saccharine take on the hospitality industry but hey, it works.

A 2.5 hours single set post-apocalyptic musical shouldn't have been this disjointed, stiff, and intrigue-free, but here we are. But I don't think I completely dislike it, maybe I kinda appreciate it on a conceptual level? I don't know. Who the fuck knows. I'm confused.

A compact and bittersweet journey. Has some familiar trappings typical of road movies and its sarcasm-laden humor can be a bit too much but when it actually hits the feels, it hits extremely hard, especially with the tonal switch being done so organically.

Absolutely incredible. Wasn't expecting this to be extremely intense, poignant, and heartwarming at the same time, with apocalyptic and mystical undertones adding a welcome weight and contrast to its otherwise grounded portrayal of nature, especially the animals.
