The Roottrees are Dead - 7/10
Enjoyed it until the end where I got frustrated (mostly because of my dumb mistake), but also the way you have to search things for evidence is really annoying. Still I enjoy deduction games so I did like it, and if other aspects were better I'd like it even more.

BanG Dream! Ave Mujica - 4/10
Liked it during the first half but really went off the rails and ended up a poorly paced mess. Which would be okay if the emotional moments hit or if I was compelled by the characters but neither ended up happening. At least I really like Uika and the music is good.

Sorairo Utility - 8/10
While I do think I'm overrating it a bit in my head it was still a really fun show. The production is so fluid and colorful, and Minami is just one of the best cgdct protagonists in a while. I love her constant gaming references and the joy she takes from trying golf.

One of the most thought-provoking anime I've seen in a long time. It kinda dragged in the second half but almost every episode had me reflecting on my beliefs and view of life and philosophy. Also at times it's a very gripping thriller and amazingly animated.

Chi. Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite - 9/10
One of the most thought-provoking anime I've seen in a long time. It kinda dragged in the second half but almost every episode had me reflecting on my beliefs and view of life and philosophy. Also at times it's a very gripping thriller and amazingly animated.

With its leap to 16:9 I feel something is lost. I miss the grainy look of the older seasons and the desaturated colors. Also I miss the melancholy tone and the more quiet intimate character moments. It's still Maria-sama so I love it but still.

An instant favorite of mine now. Every character is handled with such depth and care. The relationships between characters are so vivid and real that it's heart-wrenching. Just a beautiful season and show.
