And this is really just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine how much is going on behind closed doors that the public doesn’t know about (yet). This new EEOC is operating in the shadows and if it’s not already clear, it’ll become clear just how crucial Lucas’s assault on civil rights is to Project 2025.

I don't even really care what this time’s specific reason is (although their actual reason is even more evidence that this country is run by flat out criminals) because they’ll find a reason to do what they want under any circumstances.

Like when they wouldn't confirm Garland "in an election year" then replaced RBG within a month of the election? Remember?
When are Dems ever going to learn that whatever the mental gymnastics, these are always rules for thee but not for me and they're not winning support by playing weak ass moves.

(3) Bostock is still the law of the land and this move by the EEOC (which, by the way, started with DISMISSING 6 active lawsuits months ago) is beyond shameful.

As an aside: (1) EEOC absolutely does not have the authority to make those demands to the law firms the way the way the acting chair is doing it and law firms should resist; (2) the link between her anti-speech vendetta at universities and employment law is tenuous at best; and

Expecting collective action for the greater good is a straight up pipe dream. The vast majority only act in pursuit of profits or ego. I think we make a big mistake assuming the legal profession is a paragon of righteousness. I went to law school with these people and I can promise you it’s not.

BigLaw isn’t known for breeding or rewarding this kind of courage. It’s zero surprise that no one is willing to stand up and fight for themselves. They weren’t trained that way, especially when this would require them to have their own core beliefs and positions instead of serving someone else’s.
