do I think it's silly to like one specific 'kind' of character when there's so much more to them? with a lot of variation? yeah possibly. but before Megatron there was D-16... and oh God, did I love D-16 Idk! A lot of thoughts about him. I could never stop loving him, no matter what he does, but it doesn't mean I think he's right, or that he's the ultimate victim, or that he's justified in doing whatever just because he's hurt. he was hurt, hurt badly, sure, but these aren't his thoughts or actions or motives I don't think. it's his anger and pain seeking some kind of escape and I could never respect that. I can respect him, sure, his point of view, but never the emotion-driven actions that hurt bots already and that'll hurt even more of them. what he becomes isn't what I loved about him, and he'll never truly come back to the point at which he started, maybe naive and loyal and hopeful of the better future.
