After the Wii U failed Iwata convinced all the executives at Nintendo to take pay cuts starting with himself so they don’t lay off anyone. This is exactly why Nintendo is so successful now, they put faith in their developers during their lowest moments at the company and look how it paid off now.

I wonder why these layoffs never happen with Nintendo instead they always seem to hire more employees and increase their salaries
