Sorry I've been absent. Master of destruction granddaughter got water in my tablet

So I just heard my MIL died yesterday. Family cut contact with me when my husband died in Jan (I still do not know why, maybe they never liked me??) Would it be appropriate to contact them with condolences or shld I leave it alone?

My husband died last night

Gave dh a bed bath today. Poor dear, it's too cold for him, no body fat left. Plugged in little heater for him, bldg heat not on yet.

Had a covid booster. Not that novavax I've been hearing about. They didn't have it yet. But I was there so decided on getting it anyway
