After a mixed bag of #nlwx during the day we had clearing skies and a lovely sunset in Foxtrap this evening.

Congratulations to my son Jeff who was presented with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Confederation 75th Anniversary Medal today at Confederation Building. He was one of 22 people who were recognized for their contributions to society through their volunteer efforts.

Beautiful #nlwx again today for a walk in CBS. Temperature in the low single digits this morning when we were out.

I had some company on the patio while grilling burgers tonight. ‘Tis the season. Since we met “The Real Santa” earlier today it was only fitting that the outdoor Christmas lights be turned on tonight. 🎄

Lots of excitement in Kelligrews tonight. People are lining up to see the big guy in the red suit. We got there early and avoided traffic and parking problems. We also went through the lineup fairly quickly and got our pictures taken with Santa! #cokecaravan

Awful day in St. John’s today with thick fog and drizzle. By contrast it was sunny and warm all day in CBS as evidenced by this picture from our doorbell camera this afternoon. #nlwx

We finally got a break in the precipitation so I fired up the grill tonight. Our regular Hump Day bacon cheeseburgers had to be delayed by 2 days but it was worth the wait. Delicious if I do say so. Thanks to Judy for the fries, onion rings and bacon. 😋

At least the #nlwx improved a bit today here in CBS. We just put up our outdoor Christmas lights. Much easier to do this on a mild double digit day. 🎄

#nlwx #nltraffic I’ll never understand how people can drive on the highways on foggy days like this and not turn on their full headlights! It doesn’t cost you anything but might save you from a collision.

#nlwx If you’re getting ready to start building an ark I would suggest fibreglass. At the rate it’s been raining wood will be all rotted out by next week. 🙄
