The turn taking paradigm of LLMs is kind of limiting for real world interactions. A voice/chat system should be able to hear other sounds _while_ speaking itself and decide whether to stop or continue. Is there any research on this asynchronous/parallel processing ?

A big improvement to UX for voice assistants like Siri IMO would be to have the flexibility to have the wake word work *after* your query.

I think big tech is just too scared of the always listening privacy issues with that, but you should be able to do this with local transcription
