How do I get a film made?

I’ve written a book on a great, unknown story of the Second World War

How do I go about getting that story made into a film?

Next to Barkat Ali lies Jitbahadur Limbu of the 2/7 Gurkhas, captured at Tobruk in '42. He escaped successfully to Switzerland, but died after an accident playing football. His headstone has the distinctive crossed kukris at the top and the Sanskrit inscription ‘I bow to the Lord’.

His companion made it safely, but Barkat Ali did not. According to the British embassy in Switzerland he was shot by a German soldier at this edge of the Reich. His body was pulled out of the water, carried up the steep hill to town of La Chaux-de-Fonds and examined by Dr Ulrich.

Barkat Ali was just 18 when he died, a Naik with the Indian Army Medical Corps.
On 18th May, with a companion, he descended the steeply wooded slopes to the Doubs river, separating France and Switzerland. Just upstream from the Bonaparte footpath, they crossed the narrow, fast-flowing river.

Hundreds of Indian POWs escaped as a result of that air raid. Some of them made it to Switzerland. Two are buried at the @CWGC enclosure in Vevey.

From the other place a month ago - Remembrance Day.

Today I remember Indian Army POWs buried in Europe – over 250 of them in total 🧵
There are 58 buried at Épinal in France, mostly killed in the Allied air raid on 11th May 1944. When I visited last, a blackbird came to see me.
