I find it funny when people justify the existence of a wealthy person by pointing to their charity... as though the money wouldn't have existed without that person hoarding it first before deciding with no oversight who it should go to.

When your partner finds the piece of lumber you need and you realize you didn't miscount, you did something much, much more stupid...

There is no such thing as a "faux Christian". Christians you dislike or morally disagree with are still Christian: otherwise you are saying "Christian is synonymous with goodness." History has a lot of lessons about that, but also, this disavowal is cowardice and helps no one
I should make it clear that I was talking about *USA* "faux-christian" evangelicals. Evangelicals elsewhere seem to be mostly harmless.

🌱 It finally decided to be autumn and there's suddenly so much to do. Grabbed a quick ~10lbs of olives from a friend's tree, collecting pine nuts from grey pines, and the last of the summer garden veggies... (And ganja, of course!)

This is why “humans are bad for nature” is an unscientific stance when it comes to conservation. It’s not the presence of people that’s the problem. It’s colonialism and extractive relationships with nature. Those aren’t universal practices.

What anarchists want to remove from society is *coercion.* Not order, structure, peace, or cooperation... just the ability of one to coerce another into doing something they don't want to do.
