You can criticize Mayor Cherelle Parker more A LOT of things but keep the misogynoir out of it. Her failures as a Mayor have nothing to do with her Blackness or womanhood, and everything to do with the political shift toward economic populism that she has grown out of touch with.

We need to push the Supreme Court to honor the constitution, do their jobs, and stop the Trump administration from these illegal deportations. They cannot rest comfortably if this continues.

I've seen short clips like this on the news and in people's podcasts and video essays. But there was rarely audio included. This made me cry. Her screams of terror made me uneasy. I knew the concept of being arrested by unknown people to be scary, but I truly felt their fear. This has to be stopped.
