in case someone asks: im doing this out of pocket. all the previous donations i got were spent on server costs a long time ago. unfortunately i live near minimum wage and cant do much abt my current situation.

In case you're wondering - I may work on AstroTube in the future but I have no intention on touching it as of right now. YT is one of the biggest reasons I'm shutting down and I fear AT would end up a very similar place as Invidious and Piped is right now. If I were to revive it, it'd have to be […]

POL-1 back up, sorry for the downtime.
We ended up having to get a new server for it, but all major services should now be back up and operational. Currently working on additional services (i.e. AstroTube and shortener.)

Taking stats for the April 1st, Invidious was down for a total of 10 hours and 52 minutes, or about 45% uptime. The worst of these downtime segments were between 0:20-2:10 (110m) & 14:20-15:38 (78m) UTC.
This is after I switched to a different VPN for testing, with access to 4,835 servers, so […]

Taking stats for the April 1st, Invidious was down for a total of 10 hours and 52 minutes, or about 45% uptime. The worst of these downtime segments were between 0:20-2:10 (110m) & 14:20-15:38 (78m) UTC.

Couple updates:
* RSS and embedded videos are now explicitly allowed. (Embeds may be blocked if it starts getting abused.)
* Added some info about Anubis on my privacy policy since some people have been messaging me about concerns: https://www.ggtyler.dev/other/privacy#anubis

Correction: A few small instances may be able to function. Sighelper is used to decode the signature sent by YouTube, which significantly reduces the chances of Google blocking Invidious. Not running sighelper is possible, but it's more than likely that the instance would only be able to handle […]
