If it's just to meet your goal, give yourself key moments to acknowledge or celebrate. You got to 5k saved, you paid off a credit card, you bought your kiddo new clothes they needed, whatever it may be.

When you get to your goal, get outta dodge and rejoin your friends/family cause they miss you.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
You may need to make a certain amount of money just to exist and tread water. In that case, you should be working on skills that can get you to that goal. If you work a job that allows you downtime work on a certification, learn a skill or trade that will allow you to get back to normalcy.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
You weren't doing this because you wanted to be able to eat out more. You're doing it because you need a new car or you have student loans you need to pay off or whatever the case. Stay focused. Having an exit strategy sometimes it's easier said than done.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Is not dire and you're doing this because you have goals that you just can't reach on a single job, make sure that you do not allow yourself to begin spending at the new amount of money you are making. Eat out. Treat yourself a little bit because you're working hard but don't lose sight of your goal

For easy carry into the laundry later on that week and being aerated will help alleviate smells. You could also bring in daily obviously.

Lifestyle creep and having an exit strategy: this is the last portion I really want to talk about cause this is already very long. If you're in a situation that

And change in the bathroom/parking lot/etc. In your organizer, I suggest socks, underwear and undershirts. An emergency outfit outfit or two in case you forget to pack or something comes up. Your shoes are going to live back that as well. Grab an aerated laundry bag for your used items
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
The take away though is just planning ahead.

I assume you have car in this situation, if not it's going to be scaled down to what you can carry of course. Having a vehicle with truck space makes this "easier" to exist with organizers in the back. You can pre-load all your needed items

One of my two jobs has a explicit uniform and the other has a dress code. I overlap the pants (5 pairs of black slacks) and swap the shirts before each shift. I have a couple of pairs of shoes and a reversible belt for black / brown combinations to keep it somewhat fresh.

Between those 3, you can note yearly, monthly, weekly and daily tasks. Don't spend brain power trying to recall things, note it in one of those 3 and move on with your day. Use technology as your memory.

The secondary part of this is the wardrobe. If you can wear a uniform or "uniform"
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Lower your day to day energy use / brain power: It sounds silly but imo, this is probably the most important thing you can do in this list. You are are going to be very tired and prone to forgetting things. Plan around yourself. Google calendar,Google tasks and your alarm app are your friends.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Meal prep: This saves you money and time. You aren't going to have time to cook as a double full timer. You need to be able to pick up and go. Plan a couple hours on one of your days off to meal prep. When you get to the 4th day of double shifts, you will thank yourself.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
This allows you to get big blocks of sleep and time to do house things because you won't have that time during the work week. Hopefully your home is not too much of a mess because frankly you're not there lol but you will have laundry from the week etc.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
For the double full timers, you need AT LEAST one day off. Do not schedule yourself to work 7 days a week even if the "easy" days are just one job. You have to rest. You need time to do things and time to just do nothing. Optimally, you find a job that affords two matching days off from both.
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
While on duty (at your desk etc), use your lunch to sleep. If you are allowed two breaks, ask if you can use them both at once for a 30 - 40 recharge nap. There are ways to get this to work but you may need to get creative. Try to find that sleep though!

Secondary point to schedule and sleep
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Than full time / full time of course. So this is primarily for the latter. I am not suggesting you sleep on the job BUT if you can find one that can afford you time to take naps, far easier to exist day to day. This is easier said than done of course. If you have a job that will let you eat
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
It is best to find two that are within 15-20 mins of each other and give yourself 1 hour to reach the next location. This gives you time for a quick bite, to change and decompress between job 1 and 2.

Sleep: Try to sneak in as much sleep as possible, if you are full time/part time it is easier
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Your kiddos? You need to have reminders why you are doing this around.

Tunes! Motivating music to accompany your day, driving into work and while at work if you can.

Schedule: Obviously if you have to work at two physical locations, you need to give yourself time to get to each but imo
November 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Another minor update:

Swapped out the tmolding for red. Really like the aesthetic. I need a little more to do the back pieces and gonna redo the left lower, I cut it a little jank lol
