6 Prescott Hall, Cambridge, Mass. 1903 Dec. 4 My dear Lady Victoria: I enclose you a piece of the Syllabus, of which I wrote you. There will be a good deal more of it, if I can raise the money to pay the printer. It has been written hurriedly at different times, and the bits sent to the printer without my retaining any copy or receiving any proof. Hence there are several misprints and two or three formal inconsistencies of statement. I send it, however, believing that a part of it, at least, may interest your ladyship. I remain very truly yours C. S. Peirce [Postcard] I have three kind letters to thank you for but have been rather severely ill and even now cannot write more than this— Your last letter (Dec 4) had no Syllabus in it, so I am still hoping for it as doubtless it was accidentally omitted.
