I want so badly to write music of this caliber but like I genuinely don't believe I have the mindset for it. This isn't a self-flagellation of any kind, I just have to be realistic about where my strengths do and most importantly *don't* lie.

Up there with basically the entire discography of Paysage d'Hiver and Skagos as one of the most formative and exciting black metal releases for me to date. I know I've posted about N&N before but it's so worth repeating for anybody who loves lo-fi ambient black metal but isn't already aware of them.

Thaat was my first thought too tbh, but then my next thought was "would it be worth it?" Doesn't seem like they're going back on their decision though so I guess I need to make my own now.

Love that there has to be a research phase with black metal

That's the exciting part of black metal, enjoying an otherwise inconspicuous album and then finding out it's spearheaded by literal white nationalists
