Tasty poison oak! This plant has lots of fiber and a unique taste. Not recommended for 70% of people, who may react so badly as to need hospitalization. Only simians react, so no worries if you're not one of them.

A flowery time at Molino Creek Farm. And snakes, lots of snakes! The fields were cover cropped in mustard, so that's the show.

Molino Creek Farm reserves some hillsides for wildflowers, and this is the best lupine year in a while. Well, it’s the best in some places; other places, they’ve disappeared. What unfathomable cues make a patch of lupine go ‘boom’ or ‘bust?’

Interesting day last Thursday learning from Nadia Hamey and others at Swanton Pacific Ranch about post fire forest restoration. Glad to see so many of the broad community involved with essential elements of keeping these forests healthy. Left wondering about the direction of Swanton Pacific Ranch.
