The second this starts happening anywhere near me here in Canada, you can bet your ass I will be lobbing Molotov Cocktails at their vehicles.

Kirk is like the high level MMO player, who spends all their time playing, but still isn't very good, so they hang out in the low level zones to fight new players.

They know if they engage with someone their level they will lose.

And the experts who are most critical of AI, are not advocating to not use, but to use it wisely.
Like every other new tech, it could be used for good and to help, or it could be used unethically.
Just because a hammer can be used as a weapon, doesn't mean we shouldn't build houses

It's honestly amazing how much hate gets in the way of actually reading.
No where have I said I don't know D&D, or that I don't take interest in any of their other hobbies, or even that I don't spend time with them.
Using this tool, not only helps him, but lets me spend more time with him as well.

Please explain how what I am doing will lead to us getting false information.

2/2

We have spent time together designing stuff to 3d print and build. Should we have been hand drawing all of it and then hard coding the g-code to print it instead of using a "fucking computer program" for those steps?

Even if I was the one doing the work to re-write the questions, that's not the part I'm doing with him, that's the part that happens before I help him with it if he needs the help.

And while I'm at it I should get a masters in education so I can be his teacher to "show I care" and then get a medical degree to be his doctor to "show I care"

Sometimes we get someone else to do it because they're better at it or because it saves us time.

I also don't need a washing machine to wash my clothes, or a dishwasher to clean dishes, or a mower to mow the lawn, but it sure cut's down on the time it takes to get those things done.

The less time I have to spend doing this, the more time we can spend doing something fun together.

But I'm not using it as a source of accurate information. I'm using it to add flavor to a question that already exists.

I find it amusing how many people think that taking significantly longer to do the part that doesn't involve my kid, will somehow lead to me being able to spend more time with him or means I'm not engaging with him.
May 7, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Right, so I guess I better stop using search engines to help find sources and material to help as well.

I better not use a search engine to find fun activities for us to do together either.

Slowly improving. He's on the spectrum and really smart, the hard part is getting him to do the work, especially if he already knows how to do it.

Right, because the lack of abundant safe and clean energy is the fault of AI, those who developed it, and it's users.

"Dad, I thought we were going to build models tonight"

"Sorry son, I now have to spend 2 hours instead of 10 minutes helping with your schoolwork because some luddites on the internet called me a loser for using AI"

Lol, ok.
