So excited to see this bill move forward in the Senate. This issue is one I'm deeply passionate about, and the folks at @gfadp.bsky.social are one of the reasons I ran for office.

The GA Senate is set to vote on HB 123 on Monday! If it passed, the House will vote on whether to adopt the Senate version and send it to the governor’s desk for signature into law. #gapol

The new law lowers the legal threshold required for intellectually disabled defendants and means judges could decide the issue before a case ever goes to trial.
