On ground, running at you, agreed!

In the air, amazing! I've had 7 in V fly 3 meters directly overhead in early morning quiet - unforgettable sight & sound.

Sneaked over ridge & spooked about 40k Canada geese (yes 40k) that took off. Surrounded me for 30 seconds, filled sky. Didn't get pooped on!

You can tell Cacklings apart from Canada geese as they are smaller, the white cheek patch is a little different, often the bill has a "bump" and is shorter than the "Jack Benny" bill of the Canada goose.

Oh, you can always tell the Canadians from the Canadas by their accent, eh? <j/k>

I thought last year was bad but this year has been terrible. Not a scientific study number but my photo frame rate per outing is WAY down from 2023.
