But why doesn't it work on the iPad just like on the Mac with trackpad click and cmd? Is it really that hard to implement iPadOS specific features in the "mobile" version?

To be fair, they offered a streamlined model-picker for Pro users— meaning the users with an expensive Pro subscription. But obviously, these are less than 1% of the users. Turns out, many Plus users consider themselves "power users" as well.

You did not quote the part about the AI chip in development ("Baltra"). Could this be a game changer?

Does the differentiation of movies and shows even make sense for streaming anymore? Most shows are actually very long movies in many parts.
July 19, 2025 at 5:31 PM
So you have a Pro subscription and access from outside of the EU?

Although the new Live Channel by Amazon that you are referring to in your update is also interesting, I was referring to the live TV channels of ARD and ZDF (like BBC) which have been available since 2020: www.ifun.de/prime-video-...

In Germany, Amazon Prime Video has included all German public broadcasting TV channels for many years.

In the US, that is. It is still 27% for the rest of the world.
June 5, 2025 at 5:43 PM
But isn't this about the output data and not about the input data? All user prompts could still be removed.
June 5, 2025 at 5:39 PM
It is only available now in the US and in the alternative stores in the EU (that nobody really uses or even knows about). What about the rest of the world? I think Epic is far from a win.

The movie was not released in cinemas here in Germany - it will be released in the upcoming week. It is not available for streaming yet. I guess it is the same in other countries. So it is still possible that it will become a box office hit.
May 11, 2025 at 5:44 PM
But this button is US-only. So on a global scale, nothing has changed.
May 7, 2025 at 5:24 PM
