Happy Heavenly Birthday, Ruby Dee. It was a delight working with you on Just Cause (1995), though I'm sorry I got a little rough on your nephew (Blair Underwood) when I arrested him.

Not everyone receives a 21-gun salute, especially from the Provos, when they are welcomed into the world, but my mother was visiting my father on the set of Shake Hands With The Devil, and my lovely sister decided Dublin was a good location to join us. Patricia Elda Murray 10/27/58-10/13/25😇

Life comes at us quickly: it seems like just yesterday that I took this photo of my sister and father with my daughter.
Both adults in this photo are now gone, my sister having joined our father on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge early this morning. Never miss a chance to say I Love You!

Here's another one, from the Legend of Jesse James. This is just glorious art, with Mom glowing above RJ like a full moon. What makes it unique is the stamp in the upper corner. It means the studio paid the tax to paste it up, but never did...

Aw, thanks! This is one of my favorites. Did you ever see this poster from the Italian release of The Plainsman? His silhouette is over 6 ft. tall, and typically Italian color palette. Another beauty. "Rulers Of The Plains" is the translation of the title

Happy Heavenly Birthday to the wonderful David McCallum. I was so excited to work on NCIS Season 13, Episode 11, because I met him at Roddy McDowell's home in 1965. Alas, since my role was Ducky's Dad in a flashback, he wasn't there. But they gave me his parking spot!

Anyway, I'll raise a jar to this damn fine man today. Not perfect, by any means, but none of us are. He was a gentleman, a terrific actor and, in my mind, the ultimate Bond. James. Bond.

The film was supposed to be Warner Bros' major summer release in 1995, but because of a plot line similar to what OJ Simpson was on trial for at the same time, they buried us in a February release, which was the death month for films, as everyone was focused on the Oscars in March. Ah, the memories

He hated the job- the FLA June heat and humidity was relentless, and there was constant conflict between him and Production. Everyone was intimidated by his gruff nature, but he always greeted me warmly, and he enjoyed the "craic" between us, especially when I'd imitate his distinct vocal pattern.

It was a dream job, and I have many anecdotes about the experience, but the main thrill was I got along with Sir Sean better than anyone else on the set. He even invited me for a round of golf, which is a long tale on its own, but resulted in him gifting me his set of Golf Clubs.

Happy Birthday, Sir Sean. 31 years ago, I had the great fortune to work with Sean Connery in Just Cause. My Call Sheet Character Number was 4, below Connery, Laurence Fishburne and Kate Capshaw, but above Blair Underwood, Ed Harris, Ruby Dee, Daniel Travanti, Ned Beatty, plus other A-listers.🧵

Greetings, Georgian Legion. I've a great Georgian Restaurant two doors away- did we choose well for our first two courses?

Happy heavenly Birthday to this tall, tall man. A hero to numerous people, in addition to me, his humor, dignity and compassion was beyond reproach, and he never stopped looking at me like this for 65 years. I love you and miss you, Dad! #DonMurray

We had a family tradition for years: Going to Solvang on Wednesday before Thanksgiving because of their Farmers Market, and they spare no expense decorating the town.
And the Aebleskiver! Oh, how time flies... (2012 to 2022)

Hope Lange and Don Murray were wed in April, 1956, in Hollywood at a civil ceremony. In March, the following year, they had a son- me. He was working on From Hell To Texas and she visited him on set, having just wrapped Peyton Place. They never stopped looking at me like this for 60+ years...

Day 2 of the countdown to Mom's 91st Heavenly Birthday. She met my Dad, Don Murray, on a Double Date in Greenwich Village, but was paired with Dad's friend. Dad favored her over his date and asked his pal the next day if he minded if he took her out. His friend didn't mind, and the rest is history:

We're a week away from what would have been my Mother's 91st birthday. While I've never seen a bad photo of her, there are some that truly stand out. This is one of them:
