Tried reading a kinda “vanilla” bestselling fantasy series. No, I’m not naming the author. But my literary palate has gotten downright weird after reading novels by N. K. Jemisin, Arkady Martine, Max Gladstone, Nnedi Okorafor, Martha Wells, Ann Leckie, and John Scalzi.
