By recording session, VAs tend to be paid a few hundred dollars, less than what most workers make in a week.
I make most of my earnings from conventions, and even then I am not rich; that's WITH a somewhat steady workflow and con appearances.
It's an unsteady job that takes work to maintain.

My whole life I’ve had people laugh at or berate me for stimming, usually neurotypical folks. It’s horrible having to pretend being “less autistic” in public.
So I get it. The “stimming” video is stereotypical, and autism isn’t something “quirky”.
But I do like stimming. Not apologizing for that.
