So T and his flunkies want to take the Panama Canal back, proving the US to be faithless. Why would Russia not choose to take Alaska back? With our closest allies being stabbed in the back, who would then stand for the US?

It’s actually simple to make a difference in the world. Think about it. You’re already doing it, probably every single day. My resister friends definitely make a difference in my world. Thank you! #JustKeepGoing

This phone company is working with Elon Musk so I would advise to have nothing to do with it. Our privacy matters and Musk can’t be trusted.

Thank you AMA for doing the job the CDC used to do, keeping the public aware of what’s surging in disease land!

You learn something new every day!

When you solve for the wrong problem, not only do you not get the solution, you can cause harm. The President wasted water that was being saved for farmers for a PR stunt.

This was harmful, ludicrous, and solved nothing.

Sunday night low in DC predicted to be 20. Monday sunny with a high of 24. Farmers would be happy with that.

The censorship algorithm on Twitter reduced our audience by roughly 95%, and seriously, who does that to a wildlife biology & advocacy group ?
So we moved 😇 over here to BlueSky

Here it is January 9, and I'm already behind. Christmas decor is still up. OK, I'm keeping it up until I'm bored with it which is kind of now. Reading and writing a poem a day... I've done a few at least. Actually doing A Writers Book of Days this year? Not started yet. How are your plans going?

Last night, under the new moon, I released three beliefs that were holding me back. I wrote them on bits of paper, and the ashes mingled with the wax to remind me that those limiting beliefs are gone. Did you perform any rituals to release the old year and welcome the new?

My first rule when choosing whom to vote for is that they be a good person. Do they keep their promises? Do they treat those who work for them with care for their well-being? Are they known for empathy and compassion? Do they stand up for others? I am proud to have voted for Jimmy Carter.

I've been on BlueSky a few weeks now and am still learning all the ins and outs. In my usual fashion, I've been figuring it out as I go, but now I think a tutorial would be beneficial. Any good ones out there?

Tonight I am feeling the loss of local information and friends' posts in moving to BlueSky. Trivia, what's for supper, road conditions, events, etc. Sigh. But the final gong has rung, and it's time for this gal to leave the big face behind, maintaining only messaging to closest friends and family.

A nice walk along Flint River near Burlington, Iowa on a warmer than usual December day. Bald eagles soared far overhead, reminding me that nature can recover from damage done by humans if we just help it along and stop doing what caused the harm to start with.

Hi All! I just moved in to BlueSky from an old neighborhood that seriously has been turning into a bit of a slum. I enjoy reading and writing poetry and am working on a novel. I also take photos when nature inspires. Here's sunrise in a park where I walk my old dog and my own older bones.
