Auch Spahn gehört offenbar zu denen, die entgegen aller historischen Erfahrungen und entgegen jeder Vernunft der Auffassung sind, man könne größenwahnsinnige, machtbesoffene Diktatoren mit Besonnenheit (aka Appeasement) zum Einlenken bewegen. Hat noch nie funktioniert. Wird es auch hier nicht.

Das wäre dann der zweite Regimewechsel in Iran, den sie USA vorantreiben. Der letzte von den USA (und Großbritannien) vorangetriebene Regimewechsel in 1953 schaffte die Grundlage für die Iranische Revolution von 1979, die Iran un der Welt das Regime beschert hat, das jetzt bekämpft wird.

Trump kann Powell nicht entlassen, nur weil er nicht tut was Trump gern hätte. Und Powell hat bereits deutlich gemacht, daß er sich dem Versuch einer Entlassung zur Wehr setzen wird.Würde Powell durch einen unqualifizierten Trump Lakaien ersetzt, wäre das der Beginn von Hyperinflation in den USA.

The GOP deserves to be decimated. The chaos, the destruction of the US as the leader of the free world and the literal incineration of trillions of dollars of wealth in a matter of days is wholly owned by the GOP. The sooner that party is irrelevant, the better.

That's exactly the way forward. Cut reliance on the US as it has proven unreliable. The countries Trump wants to punish should work to trade among each other to replace the US as a trading partner. t
