Good Morning #dogsofbluesky Gertrude selected a #throwbackthursday from a community garden we walked through awhile back. Each bed was unique so it was quite interesting to explore. It's starting to get chilly here so it's nice to remember a warmer day!

Urban canine class was at a farm supply store on Sunday. Gertrude investigated the pumpkins & asked if we can grow some in our garden. She did great w/her exercises (politeness, stays, shopping scenarios), but was so excited it was hard to walk on a loose leash. #dogsofbluesky #dogs in class.

Fall has arrived & Gertrude has started harvesting blooms for next years flower garden 🌱 This will be a multi-day project. We are going to collect as much as possible so we can experiment w/winter sowing this year. We will add to this 🧵as we go! #dogsofbluesky #gardening #dogs

Good morning #dogsofbluesky ! Gertrude wants me to apologize for being absent this past week. We've been a bit overwhelmed. Pic is a #throwbackthursday to Sunday at her ongoing obedience class. We had appetizers at a patio restaurant. Shockingly all 7 dogs were super chill even w/ food to tempt them

Gertrude took me to a local demonstration garden this weekend. She decided to get right in there & really check everything out. #dogsofbluesky #dogs 🌱 most of the plants were still going strong despite it being October in zone 5b.

After a hectic weekend we had class in a fancy office building. In-between practicing stairs, elevators, loose leash walking amongst distractions & long stays Gertrude located this indoor garden! What's up w/ the fake plants? Not sure she approved. #dogsofbluesky #dogs going to school 🐾

Good Morning! We refreshed our flowers the other day giving Gertrude a chance to mug for the camera. The orange celosia in the back was hard to cut. The pollinators love it so much, but w/ only a few weeks left we decided it was time. #dogsofbluesky #dogs #flowers

Gertrude's class today was at Barnes&Noble. What a Challenge! The elevator was very scary & balcony extremely suspicious. She is excellent when interacting w/people & dogs, but loud noises/new surroundings are hard. #dogsofbluesky She might need one of these floral journals to work out her feelings.

Gertrude is skeptical after I told her our plans for the day. She doesn't believe that we will get all the pruning and cleaning out done. #dogsofbluesky She maybe right I have a hard time tearing things out of the garden & letting them go. 🌱 #dogs

Gertrude found a fall flower display at the garden center after class yesterday. Class was at a big box hardware store. We practiced loose leash walking, 3 min stays, automatic doors, good greetings, and soo much more. #dogsofbluesky #dogs

Gertrude is out of the garden this afternoon & in the dog "gym" for orientation. The next 7 Sundays we have an advanced CGC & urban canine workshop to work on skills in public places. Building confidence so we can visit more gardens & greenhouses! #dogsofbluesky #dogs in school

Gertrude's been busy today. Spa day (bath & haircut w/fresh poodle feet), some time at the office, riding in grandma's car (which is apparently very weird), & harvesting from the garden for pasta salad tonight. What a busy pup! #dogsofbluesky #vegetablegardening #dogs #gardening 🌱
