Alexander, I guess you don’t own/operate an EV.
Look at all the EV manufacturers (incl Tesla) using the common plug/socket in the UK on the variety of vehicles and chargers, low to high power, to serve the consumer.

Another complication that we face is the size of the replacement water tank.
Existing options are just to large to fit into the airing cupboard, height no problem but width is.
But someone will realise there is a demand and produce a suitable tank in the next decade or so.

If you are buying an EV then get a quote from your local electrical contractors for your home charger as they will be cheaper than the web based installers. Generally.

How many miles do you drive per day? Less than 90?
On your traditional electricity economy rate of around 8p/kW you would put 90 odd miles equiv in an EV battery.
That equates to about 3p/mile to drive around.
That is if you need/want a car. 😁
