Living and working in Norwich I just like spending time watching wildlife and avoiding getting blurred photos.
Sedge warbler from my local area regularly taking feed to nest.

Nice walk from Dunwich Beach to Dunwich Heath today. Dartford Warblers and Stonechats very active, Swallows and Sand Martins over plus small copper, Peacock, tortoiseshell and red Admiral Butterflies flitting about and great smell of coconut from the gorse.

Nice walk around RSPB Snettisham, Snettisham Coastal Park and viewing Wild Ken Hill from the bank yesterday. Some great looking cloud gathering over the Wash, well until it reached me then didn't look or even feel too good. Cleaned my boots though 😀

Lynford Arboretum nice sunny start before clouding over mid afternoon. Surprising to see how close the size is of Blue Tit and Marsh Tit. Don't normally get two birds posing for a photo usually one is always doing a 'moonie'

My favourite photo of January 2025 is a Water Rail at Whittlingham Country Park, Norwich. This one beats the Red Necked Grebe, only just though. It popped out of the waterway, crossed the path, stopping halfway before realising I was there and scooted back into the reeds.

You find some strange things when walking in the woods. 😃

Visited Abberton Res & Copt Hall Marshes. Met some nicebirders. Was nice to point out locations of some of the birds and help with some ID features. The Canvasback was hard work until it woke up, and boy, what a beak. The RND was good at hide & seek and never seen so many BNG in one. Great day

NWT Sweetbriar Marshes visit. Other than the thunder & lightning followed by couscous sized hail, which escalated to Bulgar wheat size, then a rain and a rainbow, a Grey Wagtail was enjoying the pond margins. First one I have seen on the actual marshes. The reserve seems to be developing well 😀

A wander around around Gunton Lane/River Tud woods, Costessey revealed very little. No Siskin or Redwing over last couple of day. Normally a reasonable place to see them so unsure why this maybe. Did get a single Marsh Tit though, just off Marriots way access point.
