I missed my Word of the Day yesterday, but... well...never mind. You probably know what I'm thinking.
New York was nearly 60 degrees today. I was glad I had sense enough to wear a warm jacket while some people walked around without jackets and even sleeveless. Two hours later, the temperature dropped, and I could see folks shivering. Now it's 31 and dropping. The weather has been crazy.

The amount of attention Roots by Alex Haley garnered was amazing to me. I also envied him for being able to trace his roots to Africa. Not many AAs could. And the book was made into a TV miniseries that broke records! (See more on Instagram --GerrieSummersInk). #blackbooksky #bvm #blacksky

I stopped at p. 4 to marvel at this line: "Her bare feet would raise the saffron dust that floated down on the coveralls and bunion-split shoes of the man breathing music in and out of his harmonica." What a way to show that a character is dancing! #bvm

Dec. 1. This is the time that I reflect on the year. I started out feeling depressed, but I quickly changed my mindset. Things didn't go as planned for 2024, but most of that was out of my control. Every day is a fresh start, and each day, I try to get a step closer to my goals.
