-Found in Amazon basin
-causes keloid-like lesions
-Dx: histopath (round yeasts like pearls)

Here, a child developed it after a tick bite 1 yr earlier

😔/😡 that I had to abandon #TIMM2025 in Bilbao, Spain due to chaos of Trump’s H1b proclamation. Was able to give 1 talk & grateful to @neleshg.bsky.social for stepping in for another. Glad for the fleeting chance to see some friends, albeit much too briefly. Lots of chaos/stress for nothing!
