Is any other TV show as divisive as the #jeremyvine on Channel 5? The way the topics for debate are worded and set out seem intent on causing hostility and bringing out the worst in people. Some (not all) of the panellists are so self-important. Don't know why I put it on. It just gets me riled.

We had a letter today from a well known estate agent advising that their clients, who they named, were interested in buying our house. Never had anything like that before. 🤔

The radio & TV are full of debates pitting the generations against each other today. I like Nicky Campbell. We're the same age but our upbringings were very different. I'm not complaining. It's the way it is but it's so dangerous to generalise. Gets me down. I sympathise with younger people too.

My favourite Burns song. I love this moving and evocative version by Georgia Cecile from last year.

Word of the Day is one I keep posting at the end of the year, hoping its time will come.

‘Respair’, from the 16th century, is fresh hope, and a recovery from despair.

Here’s to a few drops of respair in 2025.

Signing up for "Borrow my Dog" has been a great thing for me since we lost Lily. I get to walk and spend time with the most beautiful dogs. The down side is when I get a short notice request and I can't help. It just makes me sad. ☹️
