Tonio Schachinger's first novel, ‘Nicht wie ihr’, was awarded the Bremen Literature Prize and was shortlisted for the German Book Prize in 2019, which he received in 2023 for his second novel, ‘Echtzeitalter’ 📚🏆

In 1944 & 1945, Kittel helped hide Dischereit’s mother & sister, who as Jews were persecuted by the Gestapo & threatened with death under National Socialism. They were liberated by American troops in 1945. Dischereit will be talking about her search for the family of the rescuer.
