Just building more housing without considering whether it is affordable or whether it's owner-occupied or rental housing isn't enough. Often housing is talked about in terms of units, but there's a big difference between a luxury rental unit and an affordable three bedroom owner-occupied unit.

Yeah, but the Republicans also care less about people than Democrats do. It's a bigger deal to us that there are lines of people waiting at food banks. unsure of whether there will be enough left for them. Republicans also couldn't care less about furloughed federal employees.

It's really hard to take you seriously when your main news source is essentially propaganda. I suggest you try watching PBS NewsHour. It has reporting from journalists I greatly respect who are actually out in the field doing original reporting.

Except that your main news source is a guy just spouting off his opinions. That's different than a source that is making an effort to be objective and is mostly passing along facts. But if you can convince your audience that mainstream news is unreliable that's one way to keep them tuning in.
