We find:

- Long-term forest impacts are mitigated by reducing global temperatures below 1.5°C

- Despite simulating very optimistic scenarios, there are risks of significant forest loss in the Amazon

- Global temperature-based risk thresholds emerge close to the Paris Agreement goals
