This used to be me, but during COVId we put up our (prelit) Christmas tree Advent 1 and decorated it on Christmas Eve. Of course, we leave it up to January 6. It is not perfect, but it works for me these days.

I loved the book Bellevue by David Oshinsky. It is a history of Bellevue, I could not put it down and became even more committed to public hospitals

My diocese put my ordination date in the weekly Bishop’s blast, but I have not yet heard officially from them (standing meeting less than a month before the service.) Surely there has to be a better way

I use a daily allergy medicine. The savings I get from that one purchase pays for the membership and everything else is just gravy.

Not that this is what the post is about, but our daughter lives in Rogers Park. Everything that I knew has been happening in my head became very real on Sunday.
