OpenAI is using Studio Ghibli-style memes as an ad hoc promotional campaign for its new image generator—despite Ghibli founder Hayao Miyazaki's famous hatred of AI. Sam Altman made his X avatar a 'Ghiblified' portrait.

Disgracing Miyazaki is part of the point: It's more proof to them tech has won.

Sam Altman is promoting his new image generator by appropriating the work of one of the greatest living animators—who is "disgusted" by AI.

The United States is a rogue state that’s now launched an imperialist trade war against Canada and Mexico.

It’s time for countries, especially its former allies, to form an alliance to make the US feel the consequences of its actions and to break their dependence on US tech once and for all.
The United States has gone rogue. There must be consequences.

Last week, JD Vance gave Europe an ultimatum: it can align with the Trump administration, or face its wrath.

To comply, Europe needs to embrace the extreme right, repeal tech rules the US “will not accept,” and allow Silicon Valley to dominate its market. It should tell the US to take a hike.
